Alas the time has come...

To turn on word verification on the comments. Tonight I received my very first spam comments. If it had been one or two I would have just ignored them, but it was over 20 so the extra security is needed for now. I'll take it down again when I think those spamming bastards have lost interest in my site.

Again I'm really sorry.

sorry it happened to you, Princess. I know they hit Cleggy too. :-(

Was it "ALL THE BEST TO YOU" or "GIFT BASKETS"? They hacked and slashed me too. I have to leave mine off because a friend of mine posts occasionally and he doesn't like e-mail...

Now on to the homework!

Squid,

Actually they kept complimenting my "site" which was odd since it's not like I designed the format. I don't know what they were selling though. I didn't click on the link.

Creepy buggers they are.

I have comment moderation on and I still get 10 spams on each new post

Smart spammers?! Surely not!

That truly inhales vociferously!

Friend! I just came across your site! I like it!

Yeah, those farggin' some-ina-bastages attacked me too. Oh well. You simply hack their site and put up some gay porn and they go away. As Martha would say, "It's a good thing!"

Squid,

I just love the way you handle things. :D

My first two "posts" were spam, literally within two minutes of kicking the whole thing off.

BTW, I can make you millionaire! All you need is the low investment of $999,999 and you can be on your way to riches! But only if you act now!

Ooooo, WP. Tell me more! :P

I hope you don't mind that I used your main page as a template (via "View Source") on where and how to put the Creative Commons License up. I apologize for not asking beforehand and I thank you.

Once upon a time, there was this blog that updated and the people were happy. Unfortunately, it wasn't this blog and the people were sad. They cried and cried and cried until they died of dehydration.

The End
